The Community Connectedness funding stream offers grants of up to $5,000 each, as well as possible support from BC Healthy Communities staff. The purpose for these projects is to foster relationship-building among community members and create long-lasting social networks. This stream includes project proposals which support creating, building, and rebuilding connections in ways which consider the needs of all community members, as well as proposals in which Indigenous and local governments develop strategies and plans to address the mental health implications of the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information on this funding opportunity, visit the Community Connectedness grant page.
The Healthy Public Policy funding stream offers grants of up to $15,000 each, as well as support from BC Healthy Communities staff, for projects that seek to develop new, or amend existing policies, that serve to improve the health and well-being of community members. Eligible projects may include policy analysis, public engagement, research, implementation planning, or evaluation. Through a partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCH), we are pleased to be able to offer additional grants in the Healthy Public Policy Stream for projects in the VCH region.
