BC Community Health Data

Three complementary health data tools provide a picture of health at the community level and across British Columbia:

BC Community Health Profiles, which explore user-friendly, local-level data for 142 incorporated municipalities on demographics, health status and factors that affect health.
The Health Database, which offers customized data tables on health topics of interest for your community or region.
The Community Health Atlas, a mapping tool that displays indicators of population health by geographic area.

My Health My Community Data

Health and lifestyle data from more than 33,000 Lower Mainland adults has been compiled into a range of resources to help local governments, community groups, and health agencies on planning decisions and policy development at a local level.

Air Quality Data

Air Quality Health Index

The Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) provides hourly air quality readings and related health messages. It also includes access to historical data from the ambient air quality and meteorological stations throughout the province. Use the interactive map or browse by region or community to access air quality data for British Columbia.

Climate Data

Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium Data Portal

This portal makes PCIC data available for public use. The data available includes meteorological (weather) data, BC Station data (including rainfall and temperatures), climate data (including monthly climate averages), data for forecasting future climate scenarios, and hydrologic (moisture, water, precipitation, runoff, watershed and stream flow) data.

BCEA displays economic and natural resource data to support identification of business and investment opportunities, business case analyses and business and investment decision-making in BC.

BC Housing

The latest statistics from B.C.’s residential construction industry, including:

  • New Homes Data: data on registered new homes in our province. The figures are leading indicators of housing and economic activity.
  • Community Profiles: data on how BC Housing provides assistance to households through partnerships with community organizations, local governments and First Nations.

General Data

Statistics Canada

Access to publicly available data on life in Canada. In addition to conducting a Census every five years, Statistics Canada generally has, at any given time, about 350 active surveys on virtually all aspects of Canadian life.

DataBC

Access to the B.C. government’s data holdings, as well as applications and web services. Thousands of the datasets discoverable in the Catalogue are available under the Open Government License – British Columbia.
