Explore the links between health and built environment, and how to apply them to a community project

Develop strategies to link health outcomes into both the process and content of a selected community project or plan.

Learn more about various agencies’ and key people’s roles and interests for next steps together on the selected project, and other opportunities as well.

Participants

It is important that people who play a key role in the selected community project, and the workshop, and that key organizations are committed to the idea/potential to continue to work together on next steps (after the workshop) to bring health considerations and outcomes into the community project.

Audience would ideally be comprised of a combination of health, local government, and community agencies that affect the built environment, who all work in the same community or region.

Planning

Multi-agency planning committee (3-6 people) with representatives that bring various contacts and perspectives.

Two facilitators – need to have reviewed the HBE Linkages Toolkit, be comfortable working with and discussing issues/opportunities around health and the built environment, and be experienced workshop facilitators.
