The Alberni Clayoquot Health Network (ACHN) is collaboratively identifying and addressing ways of targeting housing and homelessness. The group hosted a Community Housing Forum in partnership with the Alberni Valley Community Stakeholders Initiative (AVCSI) to end homelessness with support from the PlanH program.

The event brought stakeholders from around the community where they used recommendations presented in the ‘Still at Home in the Alberni Valley Plan’ to forward one implementation plan, while identifying opportunities for the region to collaborate and innovate around shared challenges.
The forum was funded by the ACHN, AVCSI and the Healthy Communities Capacity Building Fund (HCCBF). The HCCBF is part of PlanH, a partnership between BC Healthy Communities Society and Healthy Families BC (the Province’s health promotion strategy), and is informed by health authorities and other stakeholders. The PlanH program facilitates local government learning, partnership development and planning for healthier communities where we live, learn, work and play.
