Webinar – The Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change & What It Means for Local Governments

Date/Time
Date(s) - January 18, 2017 - January 19, 2017
9:00 am - 9:45 am

This webinar will feature Dale Littlejohn, Executive Director of the Community Energy Association. He will be presenting on the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change and what it means for BC local governments.

The Pan-Canadian Framework lays out Canada’s commitment to the world on what it will do to address climate change. It is the plan Canada will follow to achieve the goals of a 30% reduction of GHG’s from 2005 levels by 2030.

But what does it mean for BC local governments? How can this plan help communities with their goals? Behind the headlines and action summaries, what is the context of what is being said and what are the nuances?

This webinar will answer these questions, give local governments the good news and the bad news coming out of the plan, and also open it up for discussion.

If you have not seen it yet you can check it out at: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/environment/weather/climatechange/pan-canadian-framework.html

This webinar is organised by the Community Energy Association on behalf of the BC Municipal Climate Leadership Council.
