Tara Stark (Public Health Dietitian @Interior Health – Healthy Communities Program):
Tara works collaboratively with local governments and community partners in the Central Kootenay and Kootenay Boundary to create policies and environments that support healthy eating and community food security. Tara recently worked with the Boundary Area Food and Agriculture Advisory Council on the creation of the Boundary Area Food and Agriculture Plan. Tara lives in Nelson, and works within the converging, traditional and unceded territories of the Ktunaxa, Sinixt, Secwépemc and Syilx people.
Kady Hunter (Community Health Facilitator @Interior Health- Healthy Communities Program):
Based out of Nelson, Kady works with local governments and communities throughout the Central Kootenay and Kootenay Boundary to develop public policies that create healthy social and built environments. This includes bringing a population health and equity lens to local government planning processes and action. Kady is grateful to live, work and play within the converging, traditional and unceded territories of the Ktunaxa, Sinixt, Secwépemc and Syilx people.
