As part of the Healthier Communities Partnership – Fraser Health, the Township of Langley, The City of Langley, and the Langley Division of Family Practice are pleased to invite you to this exciting opportunity focused on enhancing the lives of people living in poverty by addressing the health trends associated with poverty in the Langleys. This workshop will inform a community action plan using a collaborative approach to enhance prosperity in the Langleys. Join us to provide your input and ideas about how local planning, partnerships and focused involvement can enhance community health and well-being for those living in poverty. The purpose of the learning event is to bring together community leaders from a variety of disciplines who share an interest in addressing community health by moving towards healthy equity for all.
THROUGH THIS WORKSHOP
- LEARN about the impact of poverty on Langley residents and how this impacts their health, well-being, and the community’s health trends. Hear about promising practices in reducing poverty from other jurisdictions. Get involved in an engaging agenda with plenty of dialogue and helpful resources to explore next steps for the Langleys.
- IDENTIFY key community actions, interests and opportunities to collaborate to move people from poverty to prosperity.
- COLLABORATE across sectors to create a multi-disciplinary and collective approach to help local residents move from poverty to prosperity.

This workshop is open to targeted residents and partners involved in The Township and City of Langley.
