Around the world, communities face pressing health challenges related to the built environment. For many years, ULI and its members have been active players in discussions and projects that make the link between human health and development; we know that health is a core component of thriving communities.

The ULI Building Healthy Places Initiative is building on that work with a multi-faceted program—including research and publications, convening’s, and advisory activities—to leverage the power of the Institute’s global networks to shape projects and places in ways that improve the health of people and communities.

The ULI Building Health Places Toolkit outlines 21 evidence-based recommendations which provide specifics on how to pursue healthy development practices. It serves as a resource and reference, outlining specific, practical, and evidence-based strategies that can improve health outcomes.

JOIN US JUNE 11, as Rachel MacCleery, a senior vice president at the Urban Land Institute responsible for the organization’s Building Healthy Places Initiative, will provide an introduction and overview of the latest Toolkit developed by ULI, including a new online interactive tool released at the ULI Spring Conference.
