Learn about the Key Roles of Community and Building Environments in Protecting and Promoting Health with Dr. Karen Lee, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Be the first to know the preliminary results on health promoting environments when Dr. Jat Sandhu, Regional Director of the VCH Public Health Surveillance Unit, discusses the ongoing My Health My Community Survey (open until June 30, 2014). Furthermore, Matt Herman, Executive Director of the Healthy Living Branch, will illustrate how the new The Healthy Built Environment Linkages Toolkit resource can benefit your community. Opening remarks by Dr. Patricia Daly and closing remarks by Dr. Penny Ballem.
Hosted by the City of Vancouver, in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, Health Canada, Canadian Partnership Against Cancer: Coalitions Linking Action and Science for Prevention, as well as, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
