Join the BC Food Systems Network and the BC Centre for Disease Control for an engaging webinar on March 20th. This webinar will feature Ione Smith, an award-winning professional agrologist with a wealth of experience working with local governments on food systems. Ione will share insights into effective engagement with local government, drawing on her finely tuned understanding of the scope and tools available to local government when it comes to food systems. Participants will be able to refine their own practice of engaging with local government on food systems, through a deeper understanding of the avenues available to civil society to work effectively with local government on advancing healthy and just food systems in their communities.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The intended audience for this webinar is those who intend to or are actively involved with local government on improving food systems in their communities. Their focus can be hunger and access, climate change, adaptation, or fisheries and agricultural economies, seeking to improve them through local government policy and programs. The primary audience will be those working in community-based organizations or health authorities.
