EVENT INFORMATION

As part of the Burnaby Healthier Community Partnership (the City of Burnaby, Burnaby School District, and Fraser Health) are pleased to invite you to this exciting opportunity to work collaboratively to address physical literacy and mental health in Burnaby. This workshop will inform a community action plan to support the linkage between physical and mental health. Please join this workshop presented through the PlanH Program to provide your input and ideas about how working collaboratively on the issues of mental health and physical activity and literacy can enhance health and well-being for all Burnaby citizens. The purpose of this event is to bring together community leaders from a variety of disciplines to identify next steps for Burnaby’s Healthier Community Partnership.

THROUGH THIS WORKSHOP

• LEARN about the work that has been completed by the Burnaby Healthier Community Partnership to date and how these efforts are contributing to the health and well-being of Burnaby residents. Learn about community health trends in Burnaby and hear about promising practices in physical literacy and mental health from other jurisdictions. Discover what makes collaboration work and get involved in an engaging agenda with plenty of dialogue and helpful resources to explore next steps for Burnaby.

• IDENTIFY key community actions, interests and opportunities to collaborate across the community.

• COLLABORATE across sectors to create a multi-disciplinary and collective approach to address mental health and physical literacy.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE
This workshop is open to community leaders in the City of Burnaby with an interest in health and well-being.
