Event Description: 

The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and Northern Health are pleased to invite you to this important dialogue and workshop facilitated by BC Healthy Communities Society on behalf of PlanH. This session builds upon the previous community dialogues starting in 2014 and is an opportunity to create a broader understanding of healthy communities and the important role citizens play in creating health and well-being at the local level. At this workshop, we will focus on:

  • Creating a common understanding of healthy communities;
  • Improving coordination and local connections to enhance well-being;
  • Exploring potential partnerships and collaborations;
  • Understanding more about the local context for health and well-being.

Join us to explore how we can build healthier communities and support a broader understanding of health for all.

THROUGH THIS WORKSHOP

  • EXPLORE opportunities to build healthier communities through policy, planning and by working together.
  • LEARN about local health trends and influences within our community and region.
  • DIALOGUE with other leaders, and join forces to see what can be done to promote healthy communities.
  • IDENTIFY local priorities, assets and opportunities for joining our efforts across the community.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE

This workshop is open to local government elected officials and staff, First Nations bands and staff, community partners and non-profit agencies, and community champions.
