Every year the Canadian Institute of Planners hosts a conference to bring together planners from across the country and from all areas of practice to address key issues and topics that impact the profession. This year we hope you will join us at SOUL 2018 from July 19-22, 2018 in Winnipeg.
Our culture, our environments, and our stories shape the spaces around us – spaces that reflect the SOUL of our communities. As we address current and future needs, we are challenged to incorporate SOUL into our planning work, to create communities that are energetic and thriving.
At SOUL 2018, the program will challenge you to reflect on what SOUL means to the Planning Community across Canada, to mesh the practical with the thoughtful, through the lens of our dynamic city and regional landscapes.
BC Healthy Communities will be presenting on Saturday, July 21st. We hope you can join our session – Beyond “Pop-Planning”: Building Healthy, Equitable, and Soulful Communities.
CIP often partners with the local planning Provincial and Territorial Institutes and Association, to ensure the conference showcases the best the region has to offer. Both CIP and the PTIA work with local volunteers to determine the conference program, social events, and to identify sponsorship opportunities.
