This is the first in a three-part webinar series focused on affordable market housing in British Columbia offered by Rural BC (BC Housing, British Columbia Real Estate Foundation, Canadian Homebuilders’ Association, Union of BC Municipalities, Urban Development Institute).
Many families across the province struggle to find housing they can afford. At the same time, employers face challenges attracting employees when housing costs are high. This webinar series explores the affordability challenge in BC and considers the impact on communities.
The first webinar sets the context for the series by exploring the economic and other drivers that affect housing affordability. Attendees will hear from the BC Real Estate Association’s chief economist as well as the mayor of a northern community affected by these larger drivers.
