PIBC 2020 CPL Webinar #10 – Climate Justice & Equity

Date/Time
Date(s) - October 28, 2020
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Climate justice acknowledges climate change can disproportionally impact disadvantaged and underprivileged populations. Inequalities based on demographic characteristics such as differences in age, race, gender, ethnicity, physical ability and income can increase the exposure of these groups to the harmful effects of climate change. How can we implement inclusive climate and energy policies in a way that is fair and benefits all members of society?

PIBC’s Climate Action Sub-Committee (of the Policy & Public Affairs Committee) oversees the coordination and implementation of advocacy work and activities related to climate change. Join Co-Chair Patricia Dehnel RPP, MCIP, and other guests for a frank discussion on the important issues of climate justice and the challenges of ensuring that planning policies are inclusive and fair for all.
