PHABC is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the upcoming Annual PHABC Fall Conference in December 4th and 5th, 2014 at the Sheraton Airport Hotel, Richmond BC.
This year’s Conference title is:
“Shared Prosperity for Health and Well-Being: A Collaborative Dialogue between Business and Public Health”
The conference has a particular focus on how public health leaders and the private or business sector can partner around the mission of creating the conditions for health and well-being for all.
The Call for Abstracts will be open until September 15th, 2014.
We welcome abstracts from both fields:
The Business Community: We encourage submissions from members of the business community (academics, students, managers, business owners, executives, business associations, etc.) who are doing innovative work that involves collaborations with other sectors and that addresses issues of social responsibility with broad public health implications. Abstracts can be either research or practice-based, including case examples of innovative programs.
The Public Health Community: We also encourage submissions from public health professionals (practitioners, decision makers, students, academics) in all the public health disciplines who work at all levels in the system. To facilitate participation through solicited scientific abstracts, since many public health practitioners and researchers may not currently be collaborating with the business sector, the conference will also include an “open” abstract submission on any public health topic.
