Upcoming Webinar: Connecting for active communities during COVID-19 and beyond

Date/Time

10:30 am - 12:00 pm

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, B.C. residents have been encouraged to stay as active as possible while remaining physically distant. What can we learn from others around the province at this uncertain time? And how do we ensure considerations around equity are upheld as we adapt?

Join BC Healthy Communities for our upcoming online event: “Connecting for active communities during COVID-19 and beyond” on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 from 10:30AM–12:00PM PDT.

We will be launching PlanH’s new Active Communities Tool, a user-friendly resource that complements the Active Communities Action Guide. It is a practical way to increase common language within and across organizations to build partnerships, as well as a conversation starter to determine where you are on your journey to a physically active community. BC Healthy Communities staff will walk you through how you can use it to support your work, from establishing physical activity as a strategic priority to meaningfully engaging your community.

There will be an opportunity to use Zoom Breakout Rooms to share experiences and stories about how to equitably create active communities. The Breakout Rooms will be small-group discussions facilitated by folks from around the province. Join us to connect with and learn from colleagues near and far on creating equitable active communities.
